Disgraceful Handling Of My Booking made 12 months in advance !

I made a reservation to stay at Scandic Hotel Holmenkollen one year in advance on 13th March 2023, in the knowledge that the hotel would quickly sellout and become fully booked, I was booked and confirmed to arrive on Thursday 7th March, 2024, and to depart morning of 11th March, 2024. On 6th March,2024 at 13:30hours I received communication by email from Booking.com that the reservation had been cancelled by the hotel and that they were doing their best at Booking.com to offer me alternative accommodation, I was advised that reason for cancellation by Scandic Hotels was due to a 'Computer Glitch' . Having confronted the hotel in person at Holmenkollen I received a sympathetic response but they could do nothing for me, I was somewhat amused by the fact that the hotel was very busy in the lobby area with official guests coming and going,all of whom were wearing official name badges, this suggests to me that they gave top priority to these people and dumped people like me of a lesser importance. I wrote a letter of complaint to Mr.Jens Mathieson, President and CEO of Scandic Hotels on 17th March,2024 and sent this by special delivery, until now NO RESPONSE. the scandic holmenkollen park hotel in oslo is super nice and has a god brekfast wit hot foods and bred drinks lots of bacon and good breads and and condemensts the berekafst is Monday Friday 07:00 and Saturday Sunday 08:00. The dinner buffet opens: Mon-Sat 17:00-22:00, Sun 17:00-21:00 and Lunch: Mon-Fri 11:30-14:30, Sat-Sun 12:00-15:00. The romm i had was nice and had a large open bathrom and a god dubel bed. the most luxsuries romm costs 13829 nok ore 1290,95 USD and the chepest romm is 2109 nok ore 196,88 USD this si for a adult and a child. and there is a lot og stuff to look at on the suronding area like a ski jump or an olympic skiing arena

A very stylish hotel, with clean rooms and a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were very quiet, which I greatly enjoy. The bar area was nice, and the bartender generous. The area around the hotel is wonderful for hiking and skiing, and it's fairly easy to get to the city centre by subway. Great for a business trip.

My recent dining experience at Scandic Holmenkollen Park’s Dragebygget for their ala carte menu was great! I got to experience fine dining high above the city of Oslo couples with a serene atmosphere and beautiful views. Due to a group event at the hotel for skiers, the hotel accomodated the guests by relocating the ala carte service to the Dragebygget. This change only added to the charm of the evening and I felt fortunate to dine in such a unique setting. The staff was highly welcoming and serviceminded, and the food equally so. Overall a great experience. As an employee working in the hospitality industry myself, I can highly reccommend it.

We always stay in Scandic Holmenkollen Park. I find it relaxing and comfortable. Great breakfast, although it can be a bit crowded during the peak time. Would be great to keep the hallways quiet to have even more relaxing stay.
